- Adapted from an early 1950s women’s D pocket jacket, this jacket calls back the history of motorcycling when women would wear high-waisted leather pants and D pocket jackets and ride in post war bike clubs. These iconic women were the inspiration of this classic design. The Nyla Griz is based on the short Nyla pattern, which is authentic to the 1930s and 40s originals. Current jackets are finished with either Talon two way zippers or old stock Lightning zips.
The Nyla Griz adds cow fur Grizzly panels and a red Japanese chambray liner, two features which we believe enhance the aesthetic and functional characteristics of the jacket. There are very few heritage Grizzly jacket models available on the market for women, and this release aims to correct that issue with rugged flair.
The Nyla Griz is available here in Black Canadian Bison, with the Japanese red chambray liner. All other leather and liner combinations, as well as additional customization, are available for custom order.
Please note that there is significant variance in the colour of hair-on hides, and no two jackets will be exactly alike. Make sure to contact us if you’d like to make a request for a specific hair-on look. -

- Reproduction 1940s main zipper.
- Rare 1940s-style womens moto jacket design.
- Waist adjusters with Japanese reproduction D-ring hardware.
- Horsehide panels accent cow fur hair-on hide, with a single large keystone-shaped fur back panel. Note that there is considerable variation of color within the fur, and this is not considered a flaw. Each jacket is unique.
- Guterman 100% cotton thread, 16/4 gauge, made at one of the last thread companies in New Bedford.
- Made in Toronto, Canada, by our team of master craftspeople and David Himel.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR MEASUREMENTS
This is a bespoke jacket, so once you place your order, you'll need to submit your measurements, photos, and other data. You can find all the information you need right here. Fill out the form, and in four to six weeks you'll be able to begin making all of your friends and family members envious.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
We ship internationally using DHL from Toronto, Canada. Please contact us for any special shipping requests. We ship in Canada using Canada Post.
Customers are responsible for any and all fees and duties incurred in international delivery.
Return Policy:
Bespoke Items and custom garments cannot be returned. In the event that Himel Bros determines that we have made an incorrect garment or sizing error, the item will be replaced with the correct bespoke item. No return packages will be accepted with a Return Shipment Number.
