The New Bespoke Order System

The New Bespoke Order System

Hey everybody. Parker here—some of you may know me already as sales guy, warehouse manager, graphic designer, or personal assistant to David, but I’m writing today in my capacity as Himel Bros. webmaster. I’d like to announce the release of a project that’s been a personal focus of mine since summer 2018.

When I launched the new site last year, I included a system for making online orders for custom jackets. In theory, this system enabled everyday users to make bespoke orders, but in practice… Suffice it to say the system did not work very well. I won’t go into too much technical detail, but essentially, I’ve reorganized the entire method by which bespoke orders flow through the Himel ecosystem. The old ordering system has since been driven to a farm upstate, where it now lives happily with plenty of room to run around.

I’m sure this isn’t the most exciting news (new order forms! What a twist!), but I know all our bespoke customers will appreciate the new UX, especially if they remember attempting to use the old version. The website has been updated with the new system, which is now live on all bespoke jacket pages.

To celebrate the launch, we’re also doing something a little more interesting—we’re making a classic Himel design available again: The Raider British Racer. More information about this badass piece of American, British, Canadian, and Himel history can be found right here on our blog.

I would like to order a custom imperial, but I have a few questions.

First: I’m a big guy. 280 lbs, 6’. 48" waist, probably bigger belly. Can the imperial be “stretched” a little in length, from waist length to hip length?

Second: is rhere a difference in Shinki Horeshide between “Wrinkled” and “Road Worn”…….or both conbined?
I once had an Orvis Horsehide by Vanson that spent the summer in a dryer set on cool with a dozen baseballs and after two more years of wear could still stand up on its own and looked like it just came out of the box. I’m 68, I’d like something you could crumple in your hands, that will drape nicely after a month or so.
