Heron A-1 (1929) Harris Tweed
Often imitated but never duplicated, the Heron is the first Himel Bros jacket ever designed. Based on the very earliest and one of the rarest pieces in our vintage collection, this jacket has a unique set of lines that are perfect in their simplicity. The original jacket is an early 1930's Cossack style jacket that is very unique compared to other Cossack jackets in our collection. The back panel is large with a slight curve and the gussets have a simple and angular large shape. The collar was extremely unique and beautiful in that it was the largest collar with a scalloped shape we had ever seen on any other A-1 style jacket. The organic curves of the original jacket were exaggerated and adapted for a more updated version. The unique collar has come to influence many designs and imitations, but none as authentically designed as our own. The buttons are limited supply old stock 1930's fisheye.
Note: This jacket runs large. For best results, we recommend purchasing one size smaller for a normal fit, two sizes smaller for a tight fit, same size for a looser fit.
