The Secord Messenger Bag

The Secord Messenger bag is a superb large size shoulder satchel, named for famed War of 1812 Laura Secord, who walked tens of kilometres to deliver news of an impending attack. This large, capable bag has heavy stainless roller buckles, and stainless rivets reinforcing all pockets and straps. The shoulder strap is all-leather and adjustable. The interior features two pockets and the main bag flap. The interior and zipped back pocket are all lined with authentically replicated Vietnam-era tigerstripe cotton twill, made in Japan. The backside pocket is zipped with a sturdy 1950s vintage #10 Talon zipper. The bag is made with our vegetable tanned organic Italian horsehide, with heavy Herman Oak vegetable tanned steer strap leather for the heavier tabs and reinforced pieces, to achieve a lovely tone-on-tone look.
